Make a ladder stitch starting with two beads of one color, then using two beads in a different color and two more beads in another different color. For help creating this first row, please see our Ladder Stitch Tutorial. We recommend size 8/0 seed beads for this stitch. Once you have finished this row of ladder stitch, start creating a normal tubular herringbone stitch. The twisted herringbone stitch is a great way to add dimension to your projects. These instructions will show you how this stitch is done As you can see, the pattern of the beads will affect how the bracelet looks when finished. Both bracelets feature the Southwest Sunset Designer Seed Bead Blend, but look very different because of the way the beads are added. When you line up the colors by columns, as we do in our example, it creates a look of spiraling stripes. Adding the beads at random also creates an interesting effect.
