Epigenetic Antibodies
Epigenetic antibodies for histone & DNA modification research
81+ site-specific antibodies covering acetylation and methylation marks — organised by modification so you can pinpoint the exact residue you're studying.

Why Choose Assay Genie's Epigenetic Antibodies
Precision reagents for chromatin biology, built for researchers studying gene regulation, cancer epigenetics and developmental biology.
Site-Specific Precision
Each antibody targets a defined modified residue (e.g. H3K27me3, H4K5ac) so you can resolve individual marks other reagents can't distinguish.
Multi-Application Validated
Depending on target, antibodies are validated for WB, IHC, IF, ChIP, ChIP-seq, ELISA or dot blot — check the applications listed for each product.
Affinity Purified
Antigen affinity purification delivers high specificity for the modified epitope, minimising cross-reactivity with unmodified protein.

Browse by Modification Type
Epigenetic signalling regulates gene expression by covalently modifying DNA, histones and other DNA-binding proteins, without changing the underlying sequence. Choose a modification type below to jump straight to its antibodies.
Acetylation
Acetyl (and related acyl) marks on histones and non-histone proteins that regulate gene expression, cell division and metabolism.
Browse AcetylationMethylation
Methyl marks on DNA (CpG) and histone lysine/arginine residues that activate or silence gene expression.

Epigenetic Antibody FAQ
What's the difference between the modification categories on this page?
Each category is a distinct type of post-translational modification — acetylation or methylation — that a residue on a histone or other protein can carry. The antibody you need depends on which specific mark (e.g. H3K9ac vs H3K9me3) you're trying to detect, since these antibodies are raised to recognise one modified state at one residue.
Which applications are these antibodies validated for?
It varies by antibody: most are validated for Western blot (WB), with many also validated for ChIP, ChIP-seq, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF/ICC), immunoprecipitation (IP), ELISA or dot blot (DB). Check the Applications listed for each specific antibody before ordering.
How is specificity for a single modified residue confirmed?
These antibodies are raised against synthetic peptides carrying the specific modification at the target residue, then affinity-purified against that immunogen. Datasheets include recommended dilutions and, where available, validation data such as western blots against modified versus unmodified peptide or knockdown controls.
Can I use these antibodies for ChIP or ChIP-seq?
Many of the histone methylation antibodies on this page are validated for ChIP and ChIP-seq — look for "ChIP" or "ChIP-seq" in the Applications tags. If you don't see it listed for your target, contact our technical support team to check availability.
What species reactivity should I expect?
Reactivity is listed on each antibody's individual product page. Because histone sequences are highly conserved, many of these antibodies show broad reactivity across human, mouse and rat samples, though this should always be confirmed per product.
I can't find an antibody for my exact target or residue — what should I do?
